Is your shower cubicle filling up with water? or drains very slowly then it sounds like either the waste pipe or trap is clogged.

The most common reason for a blocked shower drain is hair or soap, we always recommend that you try and remove any hair from the plug hole as this may work and save you some money in calling a drainage engineer out. However don't use harsh chemicals to attempt to clear the blockage as this may do more damage to your pipe work.

Never try and push a stick down the drain as this may cause damage to your pipework and will only move the obstruction further down the drain pipe.

Blocked bathrooms sinks suffer the same common obstructions as do showers and baths however from time to time we find cotton buds lodged in the u-bend, sometimes we find cigarette butts stuck in the drain and very occasionally we find the odd missing wedding ring that has gone down the plug hole.

Blocked Bath

As with blocked baths, they suffer the same types of blockage as do blocked showers and blocked bathroom sinks and the stems to remedy the problem is much the same, the biggest issue with sorting out a blocked bath is access to the bath trap under the bath. Unless you have competent plumbing skills it is best to leave the clearing of a blockage from a bath trap to an experienced person as getting this wrong can lead to all sorts of costly problems. If the seal are not correctly aligned and tightened correctly and when the bath empties you are likely to have a major flood on your hands as all the bath water escapes though the leaking joint and over the floor and though the ceiling causing hundreds of pounds of damage.

Blocked Kitchen Sink

Having a blocked or partially blocked kitchen sink can be a major inconvenience and the reason for a blocked kitchen sink can be alot more complex.
